A.   Concave Meniscus  : The upward curve of liquid’s surface.

     Convex Meniscus    : The downward curve of liquid’s surface.

B.   The example of Concave Meniscus are:

1.     The water’s surface in a test tube.

2.     The water  into a test tube that has not spread with oil.

3.     The water’s surface in a test tube,and it wets the test tube wall.

The example of Convex Meniscus are:

1.     The mercury’s surface in a test tube.

2.     The water’s surface in a test tube that has been spread with oil.

3.     The mercury’s surface in a test tube,and it does not wets the test tube wall.
